My name is Olaf Verbunt and I am the founder of OVB WOOD. My passion for woodworking started as a 'corona' hobby that got out of hand. Due to being forced to stay home, I started doing odd jobs in my student house. I enjoyed this so much that I never stopped. My first major project was creating and designing a pair of wood-based headphones. Since then, my passion has grown and I now make a wide range of products from wood. I love working with this natural material and experimenting with the different technical properties of wood. I am especially fascinated by the way the grain runs through the material and the beauty that this brings. I have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and am currently doing a master's degree in Materials Science at TU Delft. This background allows me to get the best out of wood as a material and create products that are not only beautiful, but also sustainable and functional.
